1. Data controller

Larmgiganten Sverige AB is the data controller for personal data processed through the iOS app.

2. Scope of the app

The app gives customers access to Larmgiganten's customer portal and, where supported by the customer's alarm system and permissions, app control for panels, events, cameras, users, notification settings and invoices.

The app communicates with Larmgiganten's Laravel API. The app does not communicate directly with alarm panels.

3. Personal data we may process

The data processed depends on the customer's agreement, installation and user permissions.

  • Account data, such as name, email address, phone number and login status.
  • Customer and installation data, such as customer number, installation address, service status and related metadata.
  • Alarm system data, such as panel type, panel status, serial numbers, zones, areas, events, alarm history and technical fault information.
  • Camera data and media, such as snapshots, video clips, streams or media archive entries, if the customer has camera services and the user has permission to access them.
  • Invoice data, such as invoice number, invoice date, due date, payment status, amount, invoice PDF links and payment links.
  • Technical app data, such as IP address, device model, operating system, app version, session data, authentication token, push notification identifier and diagnostic logs.

4. Purposes and GDPR legal bases

We process personal data for the following purposes:

  • To provide the customer portal and app functions.
  • To authenticate users and enforce account, role and permission controls.
  • To display alarm system status, events, camera information and invoices.
  • To send push notifications selected by the customer or required for the service.
  • To provide support, troubleshooting, service history and operational security.
  • To comply with accounting, legal and regulatory requirements.

Under the GDPR, the main legal bases are performance of contract, legitimate interest, legal obligation and, where required, consent. Consent-based processing can be withdrawn, but withdrawing consent may limit functions that depend on that consent, such as push notifications.

5. iOS permissions

The iOS app may request notification permission so the customer can receive alarms, operational messages, camera events and other selected notifications.

In normal use, the app does not use the device camera, microphone, contacts or precise GPS location. If a future feature requires an additional iOS permission, the app will request that permission before the feature is used.

Larmgiganten does not use IDFA for advertising, profiling or tracking users across apps and websites.

6. Push notifications

To provide push notifications, the app may register a push identifier, platform, device name and app version. This data is used to deliver notifications to the correct customer and device.

Push notifications can be controlled in iOS system settings and, when available, inside the app's notification settings. On iOS, push notifications are delivered through Apple Push Notification service and Larmgiganten's chosen push notification provider.

7. Cameras and media

If the customer has camera detectors or video cameras, the app may display images, video clips, livestreams or media archives from the customer's security system, depending on the panel, service agreement and user permissions.

Camera media is used only to provide the customer's security service, support, troubleshooting and event history.

8. Processors and third-party services

Larmgiganten does not sell personal data and does not use app data for third-party advertising or tracking across apps and websites.

Data may be processed by service providers needed to deliver the app and security services, including hosting, API operations, push notifications, support systems, payment or accounting systems, alarm receiving centres, guard services and panel integration providers. These providers may process data only under agreement and instruction.

On iOS, notification and app delivery functions may involve Apple App Store services, Apple Push Notification service and Larmgiganten's chosen push notification provider.

9. International transfers

Some providers may process data outside Sweden or the EU/EEA. When this occurs, Larmgiganten applies appropriate safeguards under the GDPR, such as EU Standard Contractual Clauses or other lawful transfer mechanisms.

10. Retention

Personal data is retained for as long as necessary to provide the customer's account, agreement, security service, support, billing, troubleshooting and legal compliance.

Accounting-related data may be retained for 7 years under Swedish accounting law. Alarm events and technical logs may be retained for as long as needed for history, security, operations and customer support.

11. Security

The app uses authentication and encrypted communication with Larmgiganten's API. Access to customer data is controlled by account, role and permissions.

Customers are responsible for protecting their device, keeping login credentials secure and contacting Larmgiganten immediately if they suspect unauthorized access.

12. Your GDPR rights

Under the GDPR, you may have the right to request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and objection to certain processing. You may also withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

Requests should be sent to [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity before responding. Some data cannot be erased while an active service must be delivered or where Larmgiganten has a legal obligation to retain it.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection, Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten.

13. Children

The app is not intended for children. Accounts and permissions are managed by the customer, an administrator or another authorized contact person.

14. Changes

This iOS Privacy Policy may be updated when the app, App Store requirements, technical functions, service providers or legal requirements change.
